Alexandra Popa - personal experience

While creating the website and discussing technical and esthetic aspects with my colleagues, I realized that this project is more than just a summer project – it’s a story we are writing together. As the team leader, this experience has been both a challenging and uniquely rewarding learning opportunity, contributing to my personal growth. Personal Development During the research phase of the project, I deepened my knowledge of the history and founders of the European Union. I realized how much we owe to these personalities for the current structure of the EU and the security we enjoy today. By reflecting on the lives and visions of the pioneers, I understood that this stage of the project is not only about enriching my general knowledge but is also a source of inspiration. It strengthened my belief that teamwork and collaboration are essential for achieving great goals. Time management was crucial for our team, as it helped us coordinate effectively, meet self-imposed deadlines, and s

Now that the project is over, I've reached the point where I need to "put on paper" what impact it had on me. To be honest, everything moved so quickly, and all my focus was used to finish the website as quickly and efficiently as possible, that I haven't thought until now about my progress as a person, student, and teammate. Personal development From this point of view, I can't say it's the first time I've worked in a team, but I can confirm that it was the first project that offered me challenges, pride, pleasant and unpleasant memories, the first project that made me realize what working in a team truly means, where it was necessary for everyone to give 100% of what they had to offer, otherwise we wouldn't have achieved what we set out to do together.   I believe everyone has heard the saying "Patience can move mountains". I've especially heard it all the time from my grandmother, but I didn't truly understand it until the first di

Reflecting now on everything that creating this website over the summer vacation has meant, I can say that, for me, it has been an unprecedented experience, even new from certain perspectives, but one through which I certainly had a lot to learn. Personal Development Although this wasn’t the first time I worked in a team, this time I truly discovered the dynamics of working in such a context. First of all, I learned what it means to collaborate effectively and to demonstrate adaptability: to manage not to put your own vision first, but to give those around you the chance to present their own perspectives. We weren’t always on the same page, but we tried to find solutions that would satisfy everyone’s desires and opinions, which is an especially important aspect of teamwork. And every time, I discovered that by merging everyone’s ideas, the final result is surprising and reflects the contributions of each one of us. Moreover, I am sure that both I and my colleagues faced the challenge o

I have come to realize at this moment, when I am required to share my impressions about what this project has meant to me, that only an experience like the one I had through this topic will allow me to truly face what "teamwork" represents. Personal Development In this project, not only did I work together with my colleagues, but I also understood how important communication and the sincere sharing of ideas are, without which we wouldn't have been able to complete what we set out to do. I believe this project contributed to my personal development, especially because it made me understand that teamwork, which will likely follow me in the years to come, is not necessarily focused on the individual efforts of the members, but on the collective effort. It was often difficult for me to look beyond my own perspective on a project, but working in a team forced me to do just that, thus understanding the advantages gained from this way of approaching various problems. Besides all

The Story of Our Website

July 15, 2024 This was the day we met in person for the first time, after weeks of discussions in our WhatsApp group, created specifically for the project. Our conversations focused on how we would design the most fitting layout for our website. With that in mind, we got to work: we watched several videos featuring page design examples, sketched various styles on paper, until we agreed on a version that satisfied all of us. Sitting together in front of the same laptop, we wrote the first lines of code for the homepage, styling it using CSS, which helped us maintain a cohesive look for the website and significantly simplified our work. August 9, 2024 On August 9, we met again to create the table of contents page for our website, focusing primarily on its design. Together, we also developed a template that would be applied to each personality's page, with only the specific information being adjusted. We then divided the task of gathering and summarizing these details, which needed to
